These composers have a wealth of knowledge spanning the gamut of composing and producing, and they are incredible artists, vocalists, and instrumentalists.
Paradiso: Weavers of Light
A new work by Paul Mortilla inspired by Dante’s Paradiso and written in Just Intonation for four singers, string quartet and Lumatone. Friction Quartet will be joined with current and former singers from Roomful of Teeth and Chanticleer to bring this piece to life.
Friction Quartet, Nicolás Benavides and Melinda Martinez Becker are producing an album celebrating New Mexican heritage through the string quartet and voice. This project has support from Innova Recordings via The American Composers Forum, NewMusicUSA’s Creator Fund, and the Alice M. Ditson Fund for Recording Projects.
